If you are moving from headline to Headline on the Coronavirus then do not do so. The media publishes what it has to for the day. If the market falls 7% they will tell you whatever bad news they can find and when it goes up they will give you the good news.

So here are a few Corona charts to reflect on, New York was the Hot bed of the Corona crisis and so was Dharavi. Today's headlines are filled with new cases emerging in the US causing the counts to shoot up and discussions on a second wave. Clearly this is still wave 1 still extending and not a second. A second would be when 1 ended and a second re emerged. Not what happened here. So places that have been through their wave either in China or US are now seeing the slowing down when you see the first chart like this with a statewise comparison

Simultaneously there are other states where cases are still rising and have not peaked. In short my conclusion is that there are many cycles at work state wise and country wise, and eventually if some have recovered earlier others will later and so on. One day Mumbai was at its peak next Delhi, tomorrow some other state. A lot also depends on how the data is released to the public that drives opinion. I will continue to refrain from being a pessimist about the end game on Covid, it is only a matter of time that things get back to normal, the only debate is on how long and not the end result. This is not the end of the world that will wipe out half the wolds population. So do not let bad news drive your investment decisions. If news was not bad stocks would not be cheap.
