The Learning Curve

When you spend 6 days and nights coaching it is an overwhelming experience. The science of markets is deep and results in different models for everyone. Putting it together has been the most engaging and satisfying experience for me. Sharing it with a group willing to embrace a whole new approach of thinking and then being loved for doing it was the most gratifying.

Kind words for someone who never thought he would be coaching anyone when nearing 50. This is not what you want to do when you can retire unless you want to leave behind something for others to learn from. You also cannot do it without the help of people who share the same belief system and that is where I put out a thank you to my team.

Everything was done and dusted we addressed many market myths and came back to a time tested system of market action. Time-tested by my own varied experience across asset classes of course. And then, bundled together in the simple way that I have learned to do it for anything that I learn.

I am able to do this because I am a slow learner and reader. Being so, I spend time understanding everything deeply to the core before I practice it. I take my time to read and imagine every word that I read in the real sense of imagination. Imagining what you read gives you context and then all of a sudden you explain it better.

All this resulted in a 6-day offsite conference when the market was turbulent at best. Holding one's own was critical, and an important lesson was learned on how to confirm one's opinion in the market and execute it better using bar charts and Elliott waves. The turbulence last week made me more bullish at the end of the week and not less, and the position sizing helped allocate risk to the best sectors and stocks. Come back on Monday the view played out all at once to my credit.

This is not the first time that markets decided to cool off when I am away. I had nothing to do with it, those are just my stars. Rest assured this remains a bull market that nobody understands.
